Islamabad, May 7, 2025 (WAI): Pakistan’s Air Force successfully shot down two Indian Rafale fighter jets that violated Pakistani airspace early Wednesday morning in a decisive and measured response to India’s continued aggression. The incursion was intercepted swiftly by Pakistan Air Force (PAF) jets, which engaged the hostile aircraft and neutralized them within minutes. Both enemy jets crashed inside Indian territory.
The action follows a series of provocative airstrikes launched by Indian forces on civilian areas in Pakistan and Pakistani-administered Kashmir under “Operation Sindoor.” These unprovoked strikes caused civilian casualties, including the martyrdom of a child and injuries to several others.
“Pakistan Air Force remains on high alert and is fully prepared to respond to any aggression,” said DG ISPR Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry during a press briefing. “The downing of the Indian jets is a clear message: any violation of our airspace will be met with forceful retaliation.”

Following the engagement, debris from the Indian jets was visible near the Line of Control (LoC). Indian search helicopters were reportedly dispatched to recover the pilots. Pakistan confirms that no Pakistani aircraft or personnel were harmed during the defensive operation.
This incident marks a sharp escalation in tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbors, already on edge following India’s baseless accusations against Pakistan regarding unrest in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). Pakistan categorically denies any involvement and urges the international community to intervene and hold India accountable for reckless adventurism.
Pakistan reiterates its desire for peace in the region but affirms that it will not hesitate to defend its sovereignty and the safety of its citizens.
