Paris, 23 June 2023 (WAI): Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif held a crucial meeting with the United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, on the sidelines of the Summit for New Global Financing Pact in France.
Premier Sharif expressed gratitude to the UN Secretary-General for his consistent stance on climate change and his call to assist developing nations in addressing this critical challenge.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan applauded Secretary-General Guterres for his steadfast and persuasive advocacy of policies to mitigate the effects of climate change and adapt to them during the conversation. He also acknowledged Guterres’s continuous efforts to mobilize international support and resources to assist developing countries, particularly in the aftermath of natural disasters.
