Beirut, 20 July 2023 (TDI): The Pakistan Embassy in Lebanon is pleased to announce a significant development in international commercial collaboration. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been successfully signed between the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture of Beirut and Mount Lebanon (CCIA-BML).
The signing of this historic MoU opens the door to increased collaboration and commercial connections between Pakistan and Lebanon.
The historic event was witnessed by notable members from the business communities of both countries at the virtual ceremony. The MoU establishes the groundwork for the Joint Business Council (JBC), which intends to boost bilateral trade and encourage long-term alliances between Pakistani and Lebanese businesspeople, investors, and companies.
The Pakistan Embassy’s unwavering commitment to developing economic diplomacy was critical in facilitating this significant agreement. This strategic alliance demonstrates both nations’ common ambition of leveraging their economic potential and developing new routes of mutual prosperity.
The Pakistani ambassador to Lebanon, Salman Athar, expressed his profound satisfaction by stating, “The signing of this MoU marks an important step towards developing the commercial ties between Pakistan and Lebanon. We are optimistic that the Joint Business Council will be a strong platform for promoting trade and investment possibilities in important sectors of mutual interest.”

The MoU proposes a variety of cooperative initiatives, including but not limited to:
