Islamabad, 20 October 2023 (WAI): President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi visited the Palestinian Embassy in Islamabad to express his everlasting sympathy with the Palestinian people, who have been subjected to indiscriminate violence and the loss of innocent lives at the hands of Israel.
President Alvi delivered a compelling message reflecting Pakistan’s commitment to peace, justice, and humanity at a significant meeting with Ambassador Ahmed Jawad Rabei of the State of Palestine.
The President began by demanding that the international community denounce Israel’s cruel treatment of Palestinians. The disproportionate responses and indiscriminate killings have lost thousands of innocent lives. Such actions sow seeds of hatred and potentially provoke future conflict, making a peaceful conclusion more critical than ever.

Pakistan reiterated its unwavering support for Palestine and its resolve to accept a resolution acceptable to the Palestinian people. President Alvi stressed the critical necessity for the UN to confront the crimes occurring in Palestine and urged the UN Security Council to adopt a resolution to end Israeli aggression.
The President also emphasized the importance of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), speaking out strongly in favor of Palestine, citing the catastrophic situation in Gaza, Israel’s excessive acts, and decades of oppression. He strongly criticized the brutalization and loss of life that had occurred.

President Alvi called for a rapid truce and the development of a humanitarian corridor to supply essential commodities, including food, energy, and water, to people in need. He underlined how conflict is damaging and stands in the way of achieving sustainable peace.

President Alvi argued against the construction of walls that would prevent the Palestinian people from realizing a peaceful two-state solution, stressing the fences’ eventual futility and the people’s resolve to break them down.
