Brussels, 3 July 2023 (WAI): Pakistan Ambassador to Belgium Amna Baloch met with Imran Rath, Director of Sourcing Solution Europe, to explore the value of sustainability in textile design and imports.
They addressed future collaborations and underlined the importance of strengthening ties with small and medium-sized firms (SMEs) and educational institutions in Pakistan by addressing the company’s remarkable efforts in promoting sustainability in the textile design and import sector.
During the meeting, Ambassador Amna Baloch emphasized the importance of sustainability in the textile business. She appreciated Sourcing Solution Europe’s initiative in implementing sustainable practices into its business procedures. She noted the global demand for ecologically friendly products and the company’s efforts to ensure sustainable design and ethical sourcing in their supply chain.
Additionally, Diplomat Baloch stressed the necessity of forging closer ties between Sourcing Solution Europe and Pakistani SMEs. She highlighted both sides’ potential benefits of collaboration in sustainability, such as increased economic prospects, exchange of expertise, and capacity building.
The Envoy also underlined the need to involve educational institutions in Pakistan to provide future generations with the required skills and education to promote sustainability in the textile industry.
