Despite facing unimaginable loss with the passing of both her parents, Kalsoom refused to succumb to the fate that society deemed fit for her. Defying the expectations thrust upon her, she rejected the notion of an early marriage and embarked on a solitary journey of self-empowerment and education.
With unwavering determination, Kalsoom paved her own path, overcoming countless obstacles and hardships to pursue her dreams. She became her siblings’ sole provider and caretaker, ensuring they received the education and opportunities denied to many girls in her community.

She returned to her hometown in bold defiance, determined to break the chains of ignorance that bound her community. With the establishment of her not-for-profit school in her hometown, a poignant tribute to her sister Khadija, she offered a glimmer of hope to the children whose innocence had been tainted by violence and prejudice.
Through her organization, Niyari Education and Development, Kalsoom extended her reach, touching the lives of hundreds of children and women. Her efforts were not confined to academics but transcended into empowerment and liberation.
