Lahore, 30 January 2024 (WAI): Today, Chinese Consul General Zhao Shiren expressed gratitude to three critical groups in Pakistan for their excellent efforts in bringing China and Pakistan closer together.
He specifically appreciated the valuable contributions of the Pakistan-China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI), the Information and Culture Department (Punjab), and Zong Telecommunication.
Shiren conveyed his thanks during a meeting where people gathered to share ideas, known as a think-tank session. He commended PCJCCI for their initiatives to improve understanding between the people of China and Pakistan.
According to him, these activities are crucial in strengthening trust and enhancing communication between the two nations.
During his remarks, Shiren drew attention to the symbolic significance of the colors in the flags of Pakistan and China. He noted that these colors represent the ideals of peace and love and appreciated the meaningful connection between the two countries.
He states, “China is definitely Pakistan’s well-wisher; Pakistan and China are undoubtedly tied with the largest economic engagement, the CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor), which will prove instrumental in changing the whole scenario and indeed can be termed a fate-changer.”

Additionally, Shiren acknowledged the significance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), emphasizing its importance in the relationship between the two nations. President of PCJCCI, Moazzam Ali Ghurki, expressed joy and gratitude for the recognition. He thanked Zhao Shiren and pledged to continue organizing events showcasing China and Pakistan’s diverse cultures.
Ghurki emphasized the importance of increasing awareness and understanding between the people of the two nations, expressing a commitment to fostering stronger bonds through cultural exchange initiatives.
Ghurki’s aims to ensure that people from both countries can learn more about each other, promoting mutual respect and appreciation.
