Millions of people from all walks of life, speaking dozens of different languages and traveling from every corner of the globe, assembled in the blistering heat of Arafat for a historic occasion. Their sole goal was to seek Allah’s pleasure. Dr. Yusuf bin Muhammad bin Abdulaziz, the esteemed Imam Kaaba al-Sheikh, delivered the sermon on this historic occasion, emphasizing the importance of unity and the dangers of division.
Imam Kaaba underlined the crucial significance of unity in cultivating a harmonious society in his thought-provoking Hajj speech from the prestigious Nimra Mosque on Arafat Field. He claimed that living together brings unlimited mercy, whereas separation brings challenges and pains. Since Shetan enjoys sowing discord among humanity, everyone is responsible for working toward a more peaceful society.
Imam Kaaba reiterated Islam’s essential beliefs, emphasizing that Allah is One and that adoring Him alone is the foundation of faith. He stressed the limitations imposed by the Almighty and admonished Muslims to abstain from associating partners with Allah. The Imam emphasized that the oneness of Allah has been conveyed by all prophets throughout history, making Muslim unity an essential obligation.
Imam Kaaba urged the believers in his speech to practice prayer and acknowledge Allah Almighty as the source of all authority. He underlined the need for unity, quoting the Holy Quran and stressing that those who deviate from the Book’s guidance are lost. The Quranic orders explicitly instruct Muslims to band together and work together for greater welfare.

The Imam further highlighted the significance of excellent manners and their potential to build mutual respect and understanding among persons. He underscored the value of patience and the importance of protecting the rights of family members, especially parents, spouses, and children. He asserted that the actual core of a Muslim is to love others as much as one loves oneself.
The message of Imam Kaaba struck a chord with the millions gathering in Arafat. They stood together in their adoration of Allah despite having different languages, skin tones, and cultural backgrounds because they knew their goal transcended these differences. Their unyielding faith was at the forefront as they overcame the intense heat and physical obstacles to become closer to God as a community.
The solidarity exhibited in Arafat on this momentous day was felt well beyond the holy grounds as the sun sank. The motivation for unity, peace, and worship of Allah as One rang in all those present’s hearts, prompting them to return to their communities and cultivate an environment of togetherness, empathy, and understanding.
