Tashkent, 21 October 2023, (WAI): Uzbekistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Bakhromjon Aloyev, on October 20, met with Ahmed Farooq, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Pakistan to Uzbekistan. They talked about the formation of a strategic alliance between the two states.
Following the conversation, they reviewed the opportunities for expanding comprehensive alliances, focusing on communications, transportation, trade, and investment.
In addition, a commitment was made to continue collaborating in the global community, specifically in the context of the UN, SCO, OIC, and ECO.
Furthermore, they reviewed the program and organizational elements of forthcoming bilateral and multilateral events.
In previous discussions with Pakistan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Uzbekistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister discussed the potential for further development of the Uzbekistan-Pakistan strategic alliance in bilateral and international venues.
Similarly to the prior meeting, both sides discussed views on collaboration problems between Pakistan and Uzbekistan within the framework of international organizations, specifically the UN, SCO, OIC, ECO, and others, on May 22.
Likewise, on April 10, a meeting between the two was significantly scrutinized for the opportunities for flourishing healthy coordination between Pakistan and Uzbekistan about establishing interregional connectivity between Central and South Asia.

Pakistan and Uzbekistan share a robust and multifaceted bilateral relationship that has steadily evolved. These two nations, geographically connected through their proximity in South and Central Asia, have forged strong diplomatic and economic ties.

Moreover, the warm people-to-people relations and cultural affinities between Pakistan and Uzbekistan serve as a solid foundation for the further strengthening their bilateral ties, fostering mutual understanding and friendship between the two nations.
