Moscow, 18 February 2024 (WAI): The House of Unions in Central Moscow hosted the “For Freedom of Nations” Forum on February 15 and 16. Under the banner of ‘For Freedom of Nations,’ it was the first international inter-party forum against modern neo-colonialist practices. It was the initiative of the United Russia party.

About 400 delegates from more than 50 countries attend the grand opening of the “For the Freedom of Nations” Forum in the House of Unions of Column Hall of Moscow.

Vladimir Putin sent his message to the Forum “For the Freedom of Nations.” He stated, “Your representative meeting is a significant and timely initiative. Neocolonialism is a shameful legacy of centuries-long plunder and exploitation of the people of Africa, Asia, Latin America, and other regions of the planet.”

“Today, we are prepared to join forces in the struggle for genuine freedom and justice, for progress for all countries and nations, and for the establishment of a democratic multipolar world order based on the principles of international law, respect for each other’s legitimate interests, mutual trust and constructive cooperation.”

According to Dmitry Medvedev, who previously served as Russia’s President and currently leads the United Russia party he said, “Many of those present know firsthand what modern practices of enslavement and neo-colonialism are all about”.  While addressing the event, he also said that representatives of the governments of Africa, Asia, the Commonwealth of Independent States CIS, the Middle East, Latin America, and Europe have participated in the forum.

Delegations from countries across Africa, Asia, the (CIS), the Middle East, Latin America, and Europe discuss and shed light on the issues of countering interference in the internal affairs of sovereign countries, promoting national independence in politics, countering destructive neo-colonial practices, and other areas. President of the Central African Republic (CAR) Faustin-Archange Touadera also joined the event and participated in the plenary session of the “For The Freedom Of Nations” Forum. During his visit to Moscow, Touadera reportedly met with Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council.

From Pakistan, Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed actively participated in the Meeting of the Forum of Supporters of the Struggle Against Modern Neocolonialism Practices for the Freedom of Nations in Moscow. He also met with Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council.
