Islamabad, 7 July 2023 (WAI): Vivo, a well-known smartphone manufacturer, has earned recognition for its durable and feature-rich handsets. Customers, however, need to be addressed and satisfied with their most recent launch in Pakistan, the Vivo Y02.
This smartphone, which costs a whopping 45,000/- Rupees, fails to deliver on its claims, with a poor camera, insufficient RAM and storage, and an old chipset. Let’s examine why the Vivo Y02 is regarded as the weakest model to enter the Pakistani market.
The MediaTek Helio P22 chipset, an antiquated processor that struggles to keep up with the demands of current smartphone usage, is one of the main shortcomings of the Vivo Y02.
Users will feel substantial lag and decreased performance, especially when using multiple applications simultaneously or performing resource-intensive tasks. Simply put, the Vivo Y02’s chipset falls short of other smartphones in the same price range on the market.
The smartphone’s insufficient RAM capacity further adds to the disappointment. Users will need help multitasking effectively and fluidly with 3GB of RAM. Due to limited memory, apps may take longer to load, and overall performance may suffer. Given the high price tag, the Vivo Y02’s minimal RAM disappoints significantly.
The photographic capabilities of the Vivo Y02 could be more impressive, compounding the device’s poor reputation. The smartphone has an 8 MP primary camera with an f/2.0 aperture.
While it sounds good on paper, the final photographs lack detail and sharpness. In low-light circumstances, the camera fails to take well-lit shots, resulting in noisy and blurry images. The front camera’s 5 MP resolution also lacks the essential clarity and dynamic range to produce high-quality selfies.

The 6.51-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen on the Vivo Y02 has a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a pixel density of roughly 270 PPI. Although the size is acceptable, the low resolution negatively impacts the whole visual experience. Users will need more sharpness and clarity when viewing high-resolution content like films or photographs.
The Vivo, Y02’s display, is not spectacular compared to other smartphones in the same price bracket.
Furthermore, the Vivo Y02 offers a meager 32GB of built-in storage, which is significantly limited considering the device’s price tag. With the proliferation of multimedia content, apps, and files, users will quickly run out of storage space.
