Doha, 2 December 2023 (WAI): Following the expiration of the truce, Iran and Qatar have strongly denounced Israel for resuming aggression in Gaza.
Qatar is deeply concerned over the resumption of Israeli hostility in Gaza. The ongoing negotiations between Qatar and the two parties to resume the humanitarian truce were reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Qatar is dedicated to ongoing efforts and will take all necessary steps to bring peace.
Furthermore, the Ministry emphasized that the continuous bombardment of the Gaza Strip has hindered attempts at mediation and exacerbated the humanitarian situation in the Strip after the truce expired.
The humanitarian situation has gotten worse as a result, and the international community is being urged to intervene quickly to stop the violence.
In particular, the State of Qatar highlights that it opposes attempts at collective punishment, any targeting of civilians, and the forced relocation or displacement of individuals. The main goal is to advocate for the safety of people during hostilities.

The Israeli army distributed leaflets alerting the population of southern Gaza to the impending launch of a new operation and asking them to flee, according to health professionals who stated that since Israel started attacking Gaza after the ceasefire expired, scores of Palestinians have died.
According to these sources, an Israeli airstrike on two residential structures in Rafah this morning resulted in the deaths of at least five Palestinians, raising the overall number of Palestinian fatalities in Gaza to at least 37.
Israel has started “a new round of killing” in Gaza “with the continued support” of the US administration, a spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry said.
After killing fifteen thousand Palestinians, he stated, Zionist criminals began a fresh campaign of devastation. Their answer to the US government’s ongoing assistance was to launch a new movement of murder and
destruction.
Israel, the US, and “a few governments that support this apartheid regime” are said to have “political and legal responsibility for the continuation of the aggression and massacre,” according to a spokesman for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Kanaani.
