During the Universal Declaration of Human Rights formulation, Begum Shaista Ikramullah made significant contributions that the Foreign Minister acknowledged in his remarks, particularly regarding women’s rights.

The minister said that the declaration’s tenets of freedom, equality, and human dignity form the foundation of Pakistan’s constitution.

Pakistan reaffirms its commitment today to collaborate with the global community in advancing the implementation of these fundamental human rights values for all people everywhere.

He continued that the growth of international human rights legislation standards and objectives has seen Pakistan at the forefront.

In addition to its unwavering commitment to the universal protection of human rights, Pakistan has always worked to create agreements and create bridges across divergent viewpoints. We continue to steadfastly support peaceful conflict resolution, discussion, and mutual respect.

Though there has been a lot of development in the previous 75 years in human rights worldwide, he claimed that there are still obstacles to overcome.

The persistent existence of what the declaration has called “barbarous acts that outrage the conscience of mankind” is something the world needs to consider closely.

Generations of people have endured similar atrocities from occupied Jammu and Kashmir to Palestine, with the alarming impunity of those who commit these crimes.

The incapacity to end such crimes and the world’s commitment to human rights do not mix. We share concerns with the growing use of unfair criteria for implementing the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

He called on the world community to fulfill the declaration’s seventy-five-year pledge to the oppressed.

In addition, to strengthen alliances in the struggle against the global issue of rising religious intolerance, bigotry, and islamophobia, as well as to keep providing political, moral, and diplomatic support to the oppressed people of Jammu & Kashmir and Palestine.

Pakistan has promised to enhance the execution of its international human rights duties, which the Foreign Minister repeated in his remarks.

To strengthen the social safety net for the underprivileged and disenfranchised, to enhance climate resilience, and assist in rehabilitating those impacted by the disastrous floods in 2022.
