Islamabad, 27 January 2024 (WAI): Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Jalil Abbas Jilani, offered condolences to the families of the laborer’s victims who were killed by unknown armed men in Saravan city of Sistan-Baluchestan province of Iran. He asked the Iranian government to take strict action and investigation to provide justice for innocent lives. This act has spoiled the relations between Iran and Pakistan about the killing of foreign workers as it has become a problem of national security for Iran.

Laborers and workers are constant targets of Baluch rebellions. Recently, nine laborers hailing from South Punjab were killed by three unknown armed men in Saravan city of Sistan-Baluchestan province of Iran, bordering Baluchistan. Five victims belonged to the Alipur Tehsil of Muzaffargarh district, which has been working in Iran for 8 years on work visas. The rest were from Multan and Bahawalpur districts.

Previously, on January 16, Iran used ballistic missiles and drones and did surgical strikes on Pakistan, Iraq, and Syria. Iran claimed to target the Israeli terrorist group Jaish Al-Adl in the Balochistan province of Pakistan. It killed two innocent children and four injured.

Later, Pakistan retaliated and attacked on the bases of BLA and BLF in the Sistan-Baluchestan province of Iran. The main reason behind the attack on three countries was to maintain the regional hegemony and the stability in the region, which has been disturbed by genocide in Gaza. Iran desired to show strength on multiple fronts.

On January 29, 2024, the Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian visited Pakistan and met with the Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Jalil Abbas Jilani, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad.
