Islamabad, 13 December 2023 (WAI): In reaction to the fatal terrorist attack on Pakistan’s security forces position in Dera Ismail Khan, Daraban, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pakistan strongly denounced the Afghan Interim Government on Tuesday.
Six terrorists assaulted a security forces installation in the Daraban general region early on December 12, according to a statement released by Inter-Services Public Relations Pakistan.
The terrorists’ attempt to breach the post was successfully prevented, forcing them to crash a truck packed with explosives into it before carrying out a suicide bombing.
“The building collapsed as a result of these blasts, resulting in multiple casualties, notably twenty-three courageous troops embracing shahadat while all six terrorists were effectively engaged and killed,” the statement continued.
Terrorists and those who support them, wherever they may be, will be held accountable for their cowardly acts, according to Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Jalil Jilani. Our courageous warriors are prepared to give their all to foil their adversaries’ evil intentions.
The Foreign Minister also offered prayers for the Martyrs and expressed his sincere condolences to the families of those killed in today’s incident.
Considering these horrific terrorist acts, Pakistan’s strong demarche was sent by the Foreign Secretary, who summoned the Afghan Interim Government’s Chargé d’affaires.
A terrorist organization connected to Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, Tehreek-e-Jihad Pakistan, has taken credit for the attack.
The Afghan Interim Government’s CD “A” was urged to promptly communicate to the Afghan Interim that it will conduct a thorough investigation, take strong measures against those responsible for the most recent attack, and publicly denounce the terrorist atrocity at the highest possible level.
The message also included taking swift, verifiable action against all terrorist organizations, including their leadership and safe havens, as well as apprehending and turning over to the Pakistani government the individuals responsible for the assault and the TTP leadership in Afghanistan.

Furthermore, it requested that all necessary steps be taken to prevent terrorists from repeatedly using Afghan territory as a base of operations against Pakistan.
The threat posed by terrorism to the peace and security of the area is underscored by this latest terrorist assault, according to the Foreign Ministry. Pakistan, on its part, is unwavering in its resolve to oppose and eradicate terrorism.
