Kuala Lumpur, 23 March 2024 (WAI): Today, on Pakistan Day, the High Commissioner of Pakistan in Kuala Lumpur, Syed Ahsan Raza Shah, hosted a flag-hoisting ceremony. The Pakistani diaspora, respected dignitaries, and the rest of the distinguished guests attended the ceremony in high spirits of love and unity.
Syed Ahsan Raza Shah mediated the flag-hoisting ceremony and also stated on the Day’s facet. Moreover, the High Commissioner mentioned the Day held importance and honored our forefathers due to their significant sacrifices.
In his speech, the High Commissioner said that it is of utmost importance to acknowledge and respect Pakistan’s founders. Due to their sacrifices, resolve, and spirit, Pakistan emerged as a country.
The members of the Pakistan diaspora, including distinguished persons from all walks of life, graced the event. Their presence and active participation demonstrated the strong sense of fraternity and cohesion that the Pakistani community feels in Malaysia, united by a common origin and culture.

MPBC Collaboration with High Commission: Promoting Cultural and Tourism Potential of Pakistan
On this special Day, the High Commission of Pakistan in Kuala Lumpur, in collaboration with the Malaysia Pakistan Business Council (MPBC), published a special supplement in Malaysia’s leading newspaper, New Straits Times.
The supplement edition of the newspaper is aimed at promoting Pakistan’s cultural and tourism potential. Moreover, diverse cultures, natural beauty, historical and archaeological sites worth visiting, and tourism potential were also discussed in the supplement.
Hence, the program, which was conducted in collaboration between the High Commission of Pakistan and the MPBC, is a testament to the mutual desire to foster understanding and cooperation between Pakistan and Malaysia.
These initiatives aimed to promote Pakistan’s tourism and cultural wealth, thus expanding the opportunities for people-to-people communication.
