Kyiv, 29 September 2023 (WAI): NATO’s Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg, applauded the Ukrainian people and the armed forces of Ukraine on September 29 while addressing the initial meeting of the International Defense Industry.
Ukrainian People and armed forces’ grit, spirit, and audacity became a spring of enthusiasm and motivation for people around the globe as the Ukrainians continued to withstand Russian hostility and aggressiveness. Nevertheless, the Secretary General of NATO stated that audacity, courage, and heroism can’t tackle the drones and missiles.
The Secretary-General underlined the importance of the defense industry and that defense cannot survive without it. Also, he mentioned that Ukraine needs urgent strength and capabilities by both high quality, high quantity, and quick, as courage alone is nothing.
Many allies have reduced to abet Ukraine because of Russia’s far-reaching invasion. Additionally, Stoltenberg said that NATO focuses on implementing the Defense Production Action Plan to pool demand and amplify harmony.
Furthermore, the NATO Support and Procurement Agency is directing and heading significant projects, including structure accords for primary ammunition that costs €2.4 billion. It comprises orders for €1 billion for 155-millimeter artillery, anti-tank guided missiles, and primary battle tank ammo.

Jens Stoltenberg praised Ukraine’s defense industry for its deviation and modernization, pointing out that Ukraine has always shown modernization and advancement in miscellaneous directions.
Emphasizing that Ukraine’s advanced military posture and strength not only contribute to its capabilities but to its diplomatic talks, too. Radically, supplying Ukraine with weapons may seem divergent, but this eventually serves as a means to attain peace and harmony.
From NATO’s member states, significant defense firms joined and attended the meeting, with more than 20 states. Also, Wendy Gilmour, the assistant secretary general for defense investment, represented NATO in the discussion.
