Malam Jabba is a hill station and ski resort in the Hindu Kush mountain ranges. It is nearly 40 km from Saidu Sharif in the Swat Valley of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. It is 314 km from Islamabad and 51 km from Saidu Sharif Airport.
It is home to one of the two ski resorts in Pakistan, the other in Naltar, Gilgit Baltistan. Along the main Madyan-Kalam road, a pivotal juncture emerges at Manglor town, approximately 12 km from Saidu Sharif. Here, the route is divergent, veering towards the Malam-Jabba Dara. Several settlements, such as Salanda, Jehanabad, Talegraam, Badar, Ser, Malam, Kishora, and Spine Oba, culminated in Jabba.
Apart from its natural beauty, Malam Jabba is home to Pakistan’s most extended ski resort. This place is also the core of winter sports festivals in Pakistan. The unique holiday hill station is also very famous for trekking, hiking, backpacking, camping, and family holidays.

This Ski Resort is under the administration of the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation PTDC. The Ski Resort is a joint effort between Pakistan and Austria. The Resort also has fantastic facilities like chairlifts, roller skating, ice skating, skiing platforms, and excellent clearing equipment.
Pashtuns primarily populate Malam Jabba, and the valley’s native language is Pashto (mainly the Yousafzai dialect). Other languages included mainly the Dardic Kohistani languages of Torwali and Kalami. Nowadays, Urdu and English are also spoken by the locals. The dominant tribe is the Yusufzai tribe.
