Islamabad, 11 October 2023 (WAI): Iran strongly condemns the Zionists’ brutality and violence in Palestine and asks for worldwide action against the apartheid Israeli state that targets innocent Palestinians.
It argues that the current situation results from more than 70 years of rejection of the Palestinian people’s legitimate and fundamental right to self-determination.
The people of Palestine have been facing constant aggression, usurpation, tyranny, occupation, discrimination, and sacrilege imposed on them by the Israeli administration. These acts have fertilized the ground for retaliation and escalation in the area.
Furthermore, the pervasive and consistent violation of international law, international humanitarian law, and established human rights principles and practices within the Palestinian people’s historical homeland is problematic.
Innocent citizens, especially women and children, have faced violence and threats, resulting in a humanitarian situation requiring international attention.
Particularly alarming is Western governments’ utter silence regarding these activities over decades. The normalization of ties with an illegitimate and racially discriminatory state and the rising degradation of Muslim holy symbols have aggravated the issue.
The lack of accountability and silence of UN authorities, notably the Security Council, appear to have backed the occupying power above the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
The Palestinian resistance activities are considered a natural and justified response to the Zionist regime’s severe and illegal actions.

All Palestinians’ intrinsic right to self-defense must be recognized under international law. Furthermore, the Islamic Republic of Iran has submitted a proposal legally filed with the United Nations Organization’s Secretariat.
This proposal underlines that the Palestinian crisis can only be addressed by ending the occupation, recognizing the Palestinian people’s fundamental right to self-determination, and holding a national vote in which all Palestinians participate.
Iran affirms its support for the Palestinian people, hoping that their resistance will fulfill the Palestinian cause and, eventually, the return of Palestinian territories and the Al-Aqsa Mosque to their rightful owners.
The world community is asked to quickly stop the Zionist apartheid regime’s aggression against Palestinian civilians, particularly women and children.
