Islamabad, 1 November 2023 (WAI): The newly appointed envoys presented credentials to the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi, in a ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr.

During the ceremony, Dr. Alvi condemned the use of violent force against innocent Palestinians and urged for the easing of the siege and the creation of a humanitarian corridor for Palestinians.

The President expressed grave worry over Israel’s ongoing violence against civilians, which has murdered thousands of people, including women, children, and the elderly. Also, he emphasized that the world community should denounce Israel’s ongoing attack in Gaza.

He mentioned that Pakistan supports Israel’s complete departure from all occupied Arab areas, including Jerusalem, as well as the building of an independent Palestinian country with Al-Quds Sharif as its capital.

The Ambassador-designate of Jordan, Dr Maen A.M. Khreasat, the Ambassador-designate of the Holy See, Archbishop Germano Penemote Apostolic Nuncio, the Ambassador-designate of the Czech Republic, Ladislav Steinhubel, the High Commissioner-designate of Brunei Darussalam, Colonel (r) Pengiran Haji Kamal Bashah bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad, and the Ambassador-designate of Qatar to Pakistan presented credentials and later met him individually.

The President stated that Pakistan was diligently monitoring the situation in Palestine and desired the restoration of the Palestinian people’s natural rights.

He emphasized that Pakistan has long backed the Palestinian cause and wished for a thorough resolution of all unresolved Arab-Israeli problems to secure regional peace.

He underlined the formation of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), which serves as a one-stop shop for investment in crucial industries such as information technology, corporate farming, minerals, and energy in Pakistan.

The President invited foreign firms to take advantage of Pakistan’s investment-friendly policies and invest in these promising industries.

The President further emphasized India’s egregious human rights violations in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The President congratulated the envoys on their new postings and expressed confidence that they would deepen their nations’ bilateral relations with Pakistan.
