Islamabad, 11 December 2023 (WAI): Ladislav Steinhübel, the Czech Republic’s Ambassador to Pakistan, visited Dr. Shamshad Akhtar, the Acting Federal Minister for Finance, Revenue, and Economic Affairs, at the Finance Division.
Alfred Ladislav Steinhübel was greeted and congratulated by Finance Minister Dr. Shamshad Akhtar on accepting his job in Pakistan. The Finance Minister emphasized the degree of progress in the bilateral relations between Pakistan and the Czech Republic.
The Finance Minister expected the recently formed JEC to offer a global forum to strengthen the two nations’ bilateral trade ties.
Expressing gratitude to the Finance Minister, Alfred Ladislav Steinhübel hoped that the JEC’s inaugural meeting would take place soon to gather the data required to improve trade relations.
He said that Czech businesses seek mining, energy, and chemical partnerships. In addition to expressing gratitude for the interest, the finance minister promised that the government would facilitate business-to-business interactions.
Furthermore, cooperation in higher education was sought after by the finance minister.

Additionally, the Finance Minister provided an update on the government’s initiatives to achieve macroeconomic stability in the nation.
The diplomatic and economic relations between the Czech Republic and Pakistan have grown favorably, encouraging collaboration in several areas.

There has been a rise in economic cooperation due to more trade and investment opportunities. The Czech Republic has expressed interest in Pakistani industries, including manufacturing, technology, and energy.
