Karachi, 15 March 2024(WAI): In a gesture of solidarity and support, the Chinese government has provided vital assistance to Pakistan, extending emergency cash aid worth $100,000 to areas ravaged by heavy rainfall in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
At a Ministry of Foreign Affairs ceremony, Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong presented the cash assistance to Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary, Mohammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi. The donation underscores China’s unwavering commitment to standing by Pakistan during times of crisis.
Ambassador Zaidong reaffirmed China’s dedication to timely assistance to affected communities, emphasizing the importance of immediate support for those in need. The contribution aims to provide essential relief to the people grappling with the aftermath of the devastating rains.
A statement released by the Chinese embassy highlighted the significance of the aid, emphasizing its crucial role in offering essential support to the affected populations. Additionally, the statement showcased the proactive involvement of Chinese entities in Pakistan, including distributing 30,000 bottles of mineral water and 3,000 cans of food to affected individuals in Gwadar.
Efforts have also been made to offer refuge to displaced individuals at the Gwadar Faqur School, a testament to the enduring friendship between China and Pakistan. This mutual commitment to assisting each other during challenging times fosters a sense of solidarity and unity.

The Chinese Consulate General in Karachi is poised to extend material assistance amounting to RMB 500,000, reaffirming the ongoing dedication to aiding Pakistan’s recovery efforts.
