During the parade, officials normally close some of the airspace over Islamabad and Rawalpindi; nevertheless, commercial passenger flights at Islamabad International Airport (ISB) are unlikely to be interrupted. Government offices, banks, schools, and many businesses will be closed on Pakistan Day, a public holiday.
As a precaution, law enforcement carefully monitors all events. Enhanced security measures are in place at official event venues and potential militant targets such as diplomatic facilities, government buildings, military posts, transportation hubs, and large retail centers.
Personnel and vehicle checks are probable, particularly on highways leading to Islamabad. Major cities like Islamabad may have limited transportation and commercial interruptions due to security precautions for the March 23 march.
