In light of the series’ importance and to ensure the safety of all participants, the Government of Pakistan has implemented robust security arrangements. Following a request from the PCB, the Ministry of Interior has authorized the deployment of the Pakistan Army under Article 245 of the Constitution. Additionally, the Civil Armed Forces will operate under the Anti-Terrorism Act of 1997 to provide enhanced protection.
These security measures were approved in line with a federal cabinet decision, reflecting Pakistan’s continued commitment to providing a safe playing environment for international teams. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi played a pivotal role in finalizing arrangements and securing an agreement from the Bangladesh Cricket Board during a recent meeting held in Dubai.
This T20 series not only strengthens cricketing ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh but also reaffirms Pakistan’s capability to host international sports events successfully.
