Tehran, 6 November 2023 (WAI): Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and India’s Foreign Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar communicated on the phone on critical matters in the region and the current situation in Gaza.

Throughout the conversation, the foreign ministers highlighted the importance of taking prompt action to stop what they called “massive genocide” and “war crimes” done by occupying troops in the seized Palestinian lands.

Minister Amirabdollahian urged India, as well as other countries throughout the world, to take decisive actions toward establishing a ceasefire.

The major purpose of these endeavors would be to allow the supply of considerable humanitarian supplies to Gaza’s oppressed Palestinian population while putting a stop to the forcible displacement of local populations.

Foreign Minister Amirabdollahian issued a warning, stating that if the Zionist regime’s attacks continue, the situation in the area will deteriorate.

This might lead to militant groups establishing new fronts, resulting in combat expansion and spillover throughout the area.

In addition, Amirabdollahian briefed his Indian colleague on the status of collaborative collaboration in the Chabahar Port project, emphasizing the necessity of ongoing conversations between the two countries on this and other shared interests.

Minister Jaishankar responded by expressing his serious worry over the deteriorating situation in Gaza.

He emphasized that India regularly observes regional developments and believes in the necessity of collective efforts to improve humanitarian circumstances in Gaza, regardless of differing viewpoints.
